Realism"Realism is a visual art style that depicts the actuality of what the eyes can see." - Wikipedia
Within our course, "realism" is a very important factor as it depicts how "good" our work is and how clear our ideas can be portrayed to the viewers.
In the gaming world, "realism" is very important as it directly influence if a game is successful or not. In the lecture, an idea presented is that, as technology makes progress, the expectations of realistic games and programs also becomes higher. The more realistic the game is, higher the chances are that the consumer will be inclined to play more, thus making the game more successful.
In the same situation, "realism" in architectural modelling is also very important, as the more "real" models are, the better we understand design, which leads an increase in opportunities. Realistic models also opens up new ways of understanding interactions and perceptions of the real world. Therefore "realism" has begun to play an increasingly large role in the architectural world.
